Ever since Windows Movie Maker 2.x received it’s last update, at the time HD was not really capable on 2000s most consumer computers, but obviously there still people who use this basic Video Editor to this day. Since today’s PCs are more powerful and can handle HD pretty well, there has been some questions on how to get 720p or 1080p on it, most of the old links have died long time ago, it took some time to find these, download the 720p[LINK] and 1080p[LINK] codec and place it into C:/Program Files/Movie Maker/Shared/Profiles and to verify that it works look at the options when exporting a Video:
